Alankrita Srivastava's feminist drama, Lipstick Under My Burka, is finally releasing on July 21.
The film, which explores the sexuality of four women, was denied a certificate by the Pahlaj Nihalani-led Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for being too 'lady-oriented.'
The makers contested the CBFC's decision and took the film to FCAT (Film Certification Appellate Tribunal) that ordered the Censor Board to clear the film with an "Adult' rating.
"There cannot be any embargo on a women-oriented film or one containing sexual fantasies and expression of the inner desires of women," the FCAT observed.
Now, Ekta Kapoor, whose production house, Balaji Motion Pictures, is presenting the film, has released a new poster of the film.
The poster, in all likelihood, symbolises the film's elaborate fight with the Censor Board and sums up the attitude of its makers towards naysayers.
