A regular part-time job for Telangana student in California, turned into a nightmare that he hasn't woke up from, when he was shot at his workplace by unidentified men.
According to a report in The Times of India, 26-year-old student Mubeen Ahmed had finished his Masters degree a few months ago, and was working part-time at a shop to support himself.
Mubeen, originally from Sangareddy, Telangana, had gone to the US for pursuing his Masters at the California University in February 2015.
Mubeen's father Mujeeb told Sakshi Post that Mubeen was shot as a result of a heated argument between him and "some persons of black origin".
Mujeeb said:
"On the day Mubeen was at the store when a few persons of black origin came in to make some purchase. There was some heated argument between the customers and Mubeen. Later, they fired at him resulting in a rupture in his stomach and damage to liver."
Due to Mubeen's severe injuries, his father now making the rounds of government officials to for help with visa formalities. He reportedly has already visited Irrigation minister T Harish Rao and other politicians, bureaucrats as well.
He told News Nation:
"Two of our relatives who stay in Chicago have reached California and are attending to Mubeen. Doctors said that his condition continues to be critical... There are certain medical decisions have to be taken after discussion with the doctors there. I request the Telangana government to immediately help us."
