Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, who had their breakthrough roles in Habib Faisal's Ishaqzaade, are once again teaming up for another venture.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the duo will be seen in Dibakar Banerjee's next, a crime drama set in the country's Northern heartland.
Kapoor will be seen playing a Haryanvi cop in the film while it isn't yet clear what Parineeti's role is.
The film will be produced by Yash Raj Films, the banner that launched both, Arjun and Parineeti. A source close to the development independently confirmed this with HuffPost.
Shooting is expected to commence in July this year.
While Arjun Kapoor, who was last seen in the critically-panned Half Girlfriend, will be next seen in Mubarakan, Parineeti is currently shooting for Rohit Shetty's new Golamaal movie.
Banerjee previously directed Detective Byomkesh Bakshi for YRF. The film was meant to have a sequel but after its commercial failure, the plans were promptly axed.
