OnePlus is gearing up for a grand launch for its new flagship phone, OnePlus 5. In the build-up to the launch, the phonemaker is releasing teasers and info, along with news leaks. It hinted at the probable colours in which the new device will be available, asking on Twitter for preferences from a choice of black, soft gold, unicorn, and red.
OnePlus had announced earlier that it is partnering with DxO, the image processing software developer, to improve the photo quality in the new phone. In the wake of several leaks, it is now almost certain that OnePlus 5 will have a dual camera setup. However, there have been conflicting reports about whether the rear cameras will have horizontal or vertical orientation.
OnePlus CEO, Carl Pei, also tweeted about the headphone jack, indicating that the 3.5 mm jack might not be included in the phone.
The phone is expected to run on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor, with a 6 or 8 GB RAM capacity. One of the celebrated features of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T was dash charging and reports are suggesting that OnePlus 5 could come with a 3,600 mAh battery, with improved dash charging.
The company has already partnered with a clutch of celebrities to promote the phone, among them the superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
