With Redmi 4 Xiaomi Would Expect It To Break 4 Million Sales Mark Set By Redmi 3s

Predecessor Redmi 3S has sold over 4 million units.

Xiaomi is set to launch another phone today with Redmi 4. The sub 10,000 model will be accompanied by two other variant as well. Both the phones will be sold on Amazon exclusively. The phone is priced at ₹6,999 for the base version. Redmi 4 is a successor to Redmi 3S which was launched last year.

By build, all the variants are almost identical with 5-inch screen. But while Redmi 4 has a 720p screen the instead a full HD screen. Although there are some visual changes from the last year with more curves on the side.

Under the hood, Redmi 4 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor . The RAM size in three the models is 2 GB, 3 GB and 4 GB respectively. The internal memory in the phones is 16 GB , 32 GB and 64 GB respectively. The price for the variants are ₹6,999, ₹8,999 and ₹10,999.

The other specifications are quite similar to Redmi 3S. There is a 13 MP camera on the rear and a 5 MP camera on the front. The battery size is 4100 mAh which is quite good in the segment. Out of the box the phone will be running Android 6.0 with MIUI 8 on the top. The phones have a fingerprint sensor on the back as well. The users can assign separate profiles to different fingers for unlocking.

The company would be expecting a lot from this phone as its predecessor was sold like hot cakes. Xiaomi recently announced that it had managed to sell more than 4 million units of Redmi 3S.
