Man Pushed Wife Off Rooftop In UP After She Refused To Dance With Him At Wedding

Both her legs are fractured, while he is still at large.

When his wife refused to dance with him at a wedding function, a man in Dighwat village of Uttar Pradesh's Banda district pushed her off the rooftop of a house.

A report in the Times of India identified the woman as 28-year-old Vishakha Tiwari of Khaptiha village who had gone to Dighwat to attend her cousin's wedding with her husband on 13 May.

During one of the wedding functions, her husband started pestering her to dance with him and other relatives. When she refused, he pushed her off the roof.

The woman, who has been admitted in the district hospital, sustained major fractures in her legs and other injuries in her hands and stomach.

The police said that they were still investigating the matter and had not arrested the husband yet.
