'Big Bang Theory' Season Finale Ends With A Sheldon Shocker (Spoiler)

Didn’t see that coming!

Now we know why “Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Bialik told HuffPost that fans should “grab a tissue” for the show’s season 10 finale on Thursday.

Sheldon (Jim Parsons) finally proposed to Amy (Bialik) in a giant step for their turtle-paced relationship.

But Amy’s answer will have to wait for next season. That’s where the episode ended. Damn you, cliffhanger!

As proposals go, it was an impulsive one. While Amy was across the country at Princeton for a fellowship, a Sheldon admirer, Dr. Ramona Nowitzki (Riki Lindhome), reappeared at Caltech and made a play for him. She turned up the heat with a sudden kiss on his mouth, prompting Sheldon to head straight to Princeton to pop the question to Amy.

Even the comedy’s showrunner, Steven Molaro, said he doesn’t know what Amy will say when the top-rated CBS sitcom returns in the fall.

“On paper, it makes sense that she would say yes, but it’s a little complicated,” he told USA Today. “I have versions of the answer that are playing out in my head for us to talk about in the writers room. I think it’s good for a show when we pull the trigger on these momentous events even when we don’t know if we’re fully ready for it. It keeps it exciting.”

Parsons told the paper, “I will be curious to see where it heads.”

Stay tuned.
