Xiaomi is opening its first Mi Home store in India tomorrow where it will showcase its products, including smart home solutions. Up until now, the Chinese electronics company has launched its smartphones and a limited number of other products in India, such as the Mi Fitness Band, air purifiers, and power banks.

With the Mi Home store opening in Bengaluru, Xiaomi would like fans and consumers to experience its products first hand. Besides smart home products, Xiaomi will be showcasing its smartphone range as well. It is not clear if smartphones will be sold at the store.

Meanwhile, it appears that Xiaomi will launch another budget smartphone, the Redmi 4, on 16 May. It had launched the Redmi 3S and the Redmi 3S Prime in July 2016.

The Redmi 4 has a 5-inch 720p display and, under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. It has a RAM capacity of 2 GB and 16 GB internal memory capacity. The smartphone comes with a 4,100 mAh battery, a 13 MP front camera and a 5 MP rear camera.

In China, the Redmi 4 launch was accompanied by a ramped up variant, called the Redmi 4 Prime, which has Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory capacity.
