Reliance Jio has finally stopped offering free services to consumers. Instead, the telecom service provider has introduced updated plans ranging from ₹19 to ₹9,999. Some of the new plans are exclusively for Jio Prime members.
Here are the prepaid plans for both Prime and non-Prime members. Voice calls are free in all plans, as are unlimited SMSes, with the exception of the ₹149 plan where users are allowed to send 300 SMSes.
There are a number of plans for Prime members as well.
There are three postpaid plans being offered by Jio. Two plans, priced at ₹309 and ₹509 respectively, are similar to the prepaid plans in the same price range, the difference being that these two plans have a bill cycle of 90 days. The third plan, which is priced at ₹999, offers 180 GB of data without any FUP for 90 days. (FUP or the so-called Fair Usage Policy allows service providers to reduce the Internet connection speed after the user exceeds a certain cap on data usage.)
Jio recently announced that it has 72 million Prime members.
