Reliance Jio's sister concern, Reliance Retail, today claimed that it had sold close to 10 million LYF and JioFi devices in the financial year ending on 31 March 2017. The company also announced in its year ending performance review that it sold 2.6 million units of LYF and JioFi devices in the last quarter.

The announcement also said that there are almost 72 million paid Jio customers on-board currently, after having reached the 100-million subscriber mark in a record 170 days when the service was free. Reliance Jio claimed that it had added almost 6 lakh users per day during the free period. The total subscriber base on 31 March was 108.7 million.

Recently, Jio announced the new Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, which offers similar service terms as compared to the Summer Surprise offer that had to be discontinued following an order by TRAI. The plan offers users 1 GB free 4G data every day for 84 days, along with the free voice services, if they opt for a ₹309 recharge.

The fiscal performance review also noted that Jio's 'Fiber to Home' service is in the beta phase and is expected to roll out in the next few months.
