Girl Gangraped In Moving Vehicle In Kolkata After Captors Lured Her With Chocolate

KOLKATA -- A minor girl was allegedly gang raped inside a moving vehicle in the southern part of the city's Gariahat area on Friday evening, police said.

One person was detained for his alleged involvement in the incident, a senior police officer said.

"The incident happened probably around 7.30 pm when some alleged miscreants lured the girl for some chocolate. Then they took turns to gang rape the girl," the officer said.

One person was detained and the vehicle, inside which the crime was conducted, has been seized, he said.

"We are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. The girl has been sent for medical tests," he said.
