54-Year-Old Man Dies Of Bee Attack In Thane

THANE -- A 54-year-old man on Saturday died after being stung by a swarm of honey bees, a civic official said.

Umesh Saraf was standing on the Pokhran road near Glaxo company when he was stung by a swarm of honey bees at around 8.30 AM, Thane Municipal Corporation's Regional Disaster Management Cell chief Santosh Kadam told PTI.

Saraf was injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died during treatment, Kadam added.

Police said a case has been registered.
