Xiaomi has waited longer this year to launch its flagship Mi 6, unlike last year when it launched the Mi 5 in February. Now, CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that Mi 6 will be launched this month in China.

Reporting the news, Chinese tech website MyDrivers claimed that the phone is likely to be launched on 11 or 18 April.

The MyDrivers post also claims that the Mi 6 will come in two screen sizes of 5.15 inch and 5.8 inch, in line with iPhone and Samsung Galaxy phones, and will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

According to earlier leaks, the phones will be released in 4 GB and 6 GB variants along with different memory options. The smaller phone might have 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB internal memory variants, and the bigger 5.8 inch Mi 6 Plus could have 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB options. Prices are likely to start from CNY 1,999 and CNY 2,599 respectively for Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus.

In India, Xiaomi recently launched the low-end Redmi 4A smartphone.
