Not amused.

When former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni decided to get an Aadhaar card made for himself, he had not bargained on the government agency handling the process posting his personal details on Twitter.

On Tuesday, a picture of Dhoni authenticating his fingerprints to avail of the Aadhaar card was posted on CSCegov— the official Twitter handle of CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd.

So far so good.

But along with the photo, in all the excitement, the good people at the agency also tweeted out the photo of Dhoni's application form that contained his personal details.

Blame it on Dhoni fever.

Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad minister 'liked' the CSCeGov tweet and then re-posted the photo of Dhoni getting fingerprinted.

"VLE of @CSCegov_ delivers #Aadhaar service to @msdhoni. Legendary cricketer's #Digital hook (shot). pic.twitter.com/Xe62Ta63An"

Prasad had obviously liked the CSCeGov tweet without realizing that it contained Dhoni's personal details.

Sakshi Dhoni was not amused and expressed disappointment in her response to Prasad's tweet.

"Is there any privacy left ??? Information of adhaar card including application is made public property!#disappointed"

Prasad, clearly unaware of agency's actions, replied saying:

"No it is not a public property. Does this Tweet divulge any personal information?"

@SaakshiSRawat No it is not a public property. Does this Tweet divulge any personal information?

Sakshi then brought it to the minister's notice that Dhoni's personal details had been made public by the agency handling his Aadhar card sign up.

@rsprasad Sir personal information filled in form is leaked !

— Sakshi Singh 🇮🇳❤️ (@SaakshiSRawat) March 28, 2017

@rsprasad Sir I m talking about the application which was tweeted along with picture by @CSCegov_pic.twitter.com/EHYwzfzfKR

— Sakshi Singh 🇮🇳❤️ (@SaakshiSRawat) March 28, 2017

The minister assured her of "serious action".

@SaakshiSRawat Thanks for bringing this to my notice. Sharing personal information is illegal. Serious action will be taken against this.

— Ravi Shankar Prasad (@rsprasad) March 28, 2017

@rsprasad thank you Sir ! Appreciate your prompt reply !

— Sakshi Singh 🇮🇳❤️ (@SaakshiSRawat) March 28, 2017

The offending tweet was deleted and CSC re-posted the image of Dhoni getting fingerprinted, minus the shot of his application, on Twitter.

Meanwhile, quick to take potshots at his political rival, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh took to Twitter to criticise Prasad.

Calling the breach "shameful", Singh demanded an apology.

"IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad leaks MS Dhoni's Adhaar Card details. Shameful . He should apologise immediately and another Adhaar Card should be made for Dhoni. His wife Sakshi is fully justified to be angry and upset."

Meanwhile the news agency PTI reported that the UIDAI has blacklisted the centre that leaked Aadhaar receipt of cricketer M S Dhoni for 10 years. Further inquiry is on according to the UIDAI CEO.
