Yogi Adityanath Takes Dig At Rahul And Akhilesh, Says He Came In Between Because Of Their Failures

Newly elected Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, speaking at the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, took a dig at the Samajwadi Party and the Congress by attacking Rahul Gandhi and previous state chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. '

In a scathing dig at the duo Adityanath said, "Main Rahul Ji se ek saal chhota hu aur Akhilesh Ji se ek saaI bada hu. In dono (Rahul and Akhilesh) ki jodi ke beech mein jo main aagaya ye aapki viphalta ka ek karan ho sakta hai. (I am a year younger than Rahul ji and a year older than Akhilesh ji. May be I have come between them because of your failures)."

Talking about the shortcomings of the previous government in Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath said:

"In the two and half years, the centre gave funds to Uttar Pradesh but only a fraction of it was used," he alleged.

He even promised to improve the situation in the state:

He also heaped praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, "Many parties made Dalits a vote bank, capitalised on their plight, but PM Modi realised an AIIMS in Gorakhpur."

He also said, "Our prime minister is a global development icon."

Praising Arun Jaitley, he said, "I thank the Finance Minister for breathing new life into our country's economy."

He also welcomed the Supreme Court's suggestion on the Ayodhya Ram Temple issue saying:
