Manipur Governor Invites BJP To Form Govt In Manipur

IMPHAL -- Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla on Tuesday invited N Biren Singh, leader of the BJP Legislature Party, to form the next government in the state.

Raj Bhavan sources said the swearing-in would take place at 1PM on Wednesday.

Biren Singh was unanimously elected leader of the BJP Legislature Party on Monday.

On being asked how many ministers will take oath along with the chief minister, BJP sources said that it was yet to be worked out.

"However, It will be a small ministry and it will have representation from other allies," the sources said.
