Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa was pushed by someone at her residence in Poes Garden, which led to her hospitalization on 22 September, P.H. Pandian, AIADMK leader and the former TN Assembly speaker, has claimed.

"Amma fell down after someone pushed her. Nobody knows what happened to Amma after that. A police official called an ambulance, and she was taken to hospital," Pandian told reporters, also questioning why 27 CCTV cameras were removed from the hospital where Jayalalithaa was admitted.

Last month, Pandian called for a probe into the circumstances which led to Jayalalithaa's hospitalisation.

Pandian raised other questions such as whether her food was checked as required under the SPG security to which she was entitled, and why physiotherapists from Sri Lanka were brought in, and why she was not taken to Singapore for treatment when there was a helicopter on stand-by, The Times of Indiareported.

The Hindustan Timesreported that Pandian questioned who had ordered the removal of Jayalalithaa's life support systems, why the hospital announced her death on 5 December when she had passed away a day earlier, and who asked for her treatment to be stopped.
