Looks like Nokia is well and truly back in the game. Yesterday, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, the phone-maker launched a reboot of the classic Nokia 3310, along with three new Android phones.

All the phones will be produced by HMD Global, which has developed a solid design for the series in line with the Nokia brand and the pure Android experience. Google executives attended the launch event and announced that Google Assistant will be available in the phones, which are all running on Android Nougat 7.1.1.

Nokia 6

Launched in China earlier, the Nokia 6 was launched at MWC for the rest of the world. It features a 5.5 inch full HD display powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chip, has a 3 GB RAM capacity and 32 GB of internal storage. The dual SIM phone has a 3,000 mAh battery, features a 16 MP camera in the back and an 8 MP camera in the front.

HMD Global also announced an Arte Black special edition of the phone, with a 4 GB RAM capacity and 64 GB of internal storage. The Nokia 6 is priced at 229 euros.

Nokia 5

This device is a slightly smaller cousin of the Nokia 6, with the same processor and a more compact 5.2 inch full HD display. The Nokia 5 comes with a 2 GB RAM capacity and 16 GB of internal storage. The phone's external storage of up to 128 GB is supported through a MicroSD card, and it has a 3,000 mAh battery. Priced at 189 euros, the phone has a rear camera with a 13 MP sensor and an 8 MP front camera.

Nokia 3

The most affordable among Nokia's latest features, the Nokia 3 has a 5-inch HD screen and runs on a MediaTek quad-core processor with 2 GB RAM capacity. The device has 16 GB of internal memory that can be extended up to 128 GB through a MicroSD card. Featuring 8 MP rear and front cameras, and a 2,650 mAh battery, the Nokia 3 is priced at 139 euros.

Nokia 3310

Nokia has revived the classic phone with a dash of colour. The new 3310 has a 2.4-inch QVGA display along with support for MicroSD card. The phone also has a 2 MP rear camera.

According to the phone maker, the iconic phone still has a battery life of 25 days on standby and will provide 22 hours of talk time. It is available in three bright colours, and yes, it also has the snake game! The 3310 will be available in India in Q2 of this year; its pricing is yet to be announced.

Nokia's newest offerings reveal that as it attempts a second coming, the onetime world leader in mobile phones is clearly going after young users with its pocket-friendly offerings. Nokia will also be banking on its famous reliability, and has promised to push regular software and security updates to the phones. The Chinese smartphones ruled the budget smartphone market in India last year and Nokia's entry is bound to make things interesting.
