The Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0, which is a sequel to Shankar's Enthiran (or Robot) is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of 2017, thanks in no small measure to Shankar's credibility as an ace filmmaker.
And the cast, of course.
Now, a report in DNA says that for an elaborate aerial sequence, the film's producers have spent a whopping Rs. 12 crore.
Yep, you read that right.
12 crore on one sequence. Shankar definitely has some very generous producers.
To give you a sense of what that means, it is more than 10 times the budget of the recently-released Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Haraamkhor.
Or at least thrice the budget of any independent movie made in Bollywood.
The same DNA report said that Hollywood experts are being flown in to supervise the sequence as Shankar wants it to be at par with their films.
Well, if you have two major superstars from two different territories collaborating on one film, guess 12 crore is not too big a deal.
Or is it?
We'll find out on October 18 when the film opens in cinemas.
