On Thursday night, a South Mumbai multiplex hosted the premiere of Deepika Padukone's Hollywood debut, xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

The event was attended by lead cast Deepika Padukone and Vin Diesel along with their director DJ Caruso.

While the duo interacted with their fans at the red carpet that was laid out, Padukone helped Diesel tie a lungi and taught some desi moves to the Fast and Furious star.

On requests from fans, the Tamasha actress wrapped a lungi over her golden gown and made the crowd go crazy with her moves on 'lungi dance,' the hit track from Chennai Express.

At a press conference held before the premiere, Diesel couldn't stop gushing over Padukone, calling her an 'angel,' a 'queen,' and the most beautiful woman in the world. He said, "I was waiting for the opportunity to come here. And she is the queen and angel who is such a blessing in my life. She has a such a beautiful soul. To be a part of the magic that is made on-screen is a blessing of my life."

The premiere saw prominent Bollywood stars marking their presence to show their support for Padukone.

Among those who showed up included Deepika's rumored boyfriend Ranveer Singh, her Padmavati co-star Shahid Kapoor, Piku co-star Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi, her Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani producer Karan Johar, Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadha and Kalki Koechlin. Ranbir Kapoor was conspicuous by his absence.

xXx: Return Of Xander Cage — also features Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev, and Samuel L. Jackson — and opens in India today. It will release in theatres worldwide on January 20.

While reviews are yet to trickle in, one hears that Padukone has quite a meaty role in the film and she's pulled it off impressively.
