Deepika Padukone's Hollywood debut, XxX: Return of Xander Cage, opens in theaters tomorrow and the actress arrived in Mumbai in style with her xXx co-star Vin Diesel and director DJ Caruso in tow.

Diesel and Padukone were met with a loud welcome as turbaned men played the band one usually gets to hear at an Indian wedding while saree-clad women applied a red tikka on the actors' foreheads.

It was a relief that nobody got a horse for Diesel to sit on.

The trio is supposed to hold a press conference in Mumbai in the evening where they'll talk about the movie. This will be their first appearance in India, where the film is releasing before anywhere in the world.

Before Mumbai, the xXx team was promoting the film in London and Mexico.

According to reports, a star-studded gala premiere of the movie will be held in the evening, which Padukone will host. A number of Bollywood celebrities are expected to attend the event after which a glitzy party has been planned to make Diesel feel at home.

Quoting a source, a News 18 report said, "In order to make arrangements, Diesel's security team visited India earlier to conduct a recce. Apart from his personal security guards, Vin Diesel's security has been beefed up to an additional 50 security guards during the course of his India promotions."

Here's the video of Diesel and Padukone being welcomed in Mumbai, band-baaja style.
