Two People, Including Congress Leader Raju Mishra, Shot Dead In Jabalpur

A total of 14 rounds were fired.

JABALPUR (MADHYA PRADESH) -- As many as two persons, including Congress leader Raju Mishra were shot dead by unidentified gunmen last night in Cherital area of Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur.

The other victim has been identified as Kukku Sardar.

It was around 10 at night when the assailants opened indiscriminate firing at the victims, completing a total of 14 rounds.

It is being said the victims were standing at a food stall when the attackers started firing from behind.

The police have recovered bullets and blood samples from the incident site.

A forensic enquiry has also been launched into the matter.

The police are trying to know the motive behind the incident.

Sources said, the aggressors had come to attack Kukku, but targeted Raju as well on finding him there.
