Woman Allegedly Raped At Gunpoint In Maharashtra

MUMBAI -- A woman who had gone out with her friend was allegedly raped at gunpoint in north Maharashtra, police said on Tuesday, adding two persons have been arrested.

The woman, who hails from Bhusawal, had gone out in Aklud area of Yaval in Jalgaon district, they said.

The accused allegedly assaulted the couple and snatched her mobile, after which they allegedly raped her at gunpoint, police said.

The two were arrested on basis of a sketch prepared as per description given by her, they said, adding the mobile and gun have been seized.
