Three people were injured and one killed, when a helicopter crashed in Mumbai's in Goregaon on Sunday, ANI reported. The helicopter, Robinson R44, crashed in Filter Pada area of Aarey Colony.
The injured have been rushed to the Seven Hill Hospital in Mumbai, the police have confirmed.
According to ANI, the 1992-made Robinson R44 was originally with Pawan Hans but later sold to a private aviation company, which used it for joyrides after repairing. The pilot, Praful Mishra, was declared dead at the hospital due to extensive burn and trauma injuries, The Indian Express reported.
Speaking on behalf of the hospital, Dr Raj Karva said another male passenger was in a critical condition, with multiple head and chest injuries. "A lady has been brought with 35% burns. She is conscious," he added.
