Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra, who welcomed a baby girl on December 9 last year, shared the first picture of their daughter Adira early morning today on Yash Raj Films' official Twitter handle.
The couple, who have kept their private lives fiercely guarded, have rarely been photographed together, so it was almost out of question to get a glimpse of their little one.
But early morning today, Rani posted a heartfelt note, along with a picture of her and Adira.
In an accompanying post, she wrote, "I have become much calmer...More patient...And more forgiving. It happened overnight one day suddenly...I realized I have changed, again for the better I guess. I hope I can bring Adira beautifully...Without any fears, brave, wise, clever, disciplined, well mannered. I want everyone to be proud of her. Even if nobody is...I will always be proud of her...Encourage her to follow her heart....Not get bullied ever...Not to be pressurized for anything in life. Be carefree always."
Incidentally, Aditya Chopra's Befikre (which literally translates to carefree) releases in theaters today, the same day when Adira turns 1.
"I love my baby Adira...Can't live or breathe without her..My life has changed...But for the better... But having a baby is so scary because you suddenly stop living for yourself...You live for your child...As she has given birth to you...A mother," she added.
Below is the letter in its entirety.
The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Italy in April 2014, which was attended by close family and friends.
