On Wednesday night, the official Twitter account of Rahul Gandhi was hacked and it tweeted out multiple abusive tweets.
Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala responded, "@OfficeOfRG hacked. Such lowly tactics will never drown sane voice of reason nor deter Rahul Gandhi from raising people's issues."

The Congress has, meanwhile, filed a complaint with the cyber cell of the Delhi Police on the hacking of its Vice President's Twitter account.
The complaint was filed by party's chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala, demanding strict action against those behind the hacking.
"Such lowly tactics will neither drown the sane voice of reason nor deter Rahul Gandhi from raising people's issues," Surjewala had said.
"Such unscrupulous, unethical and roguish conduct of venal trolls to hack Rahul Gandhi's Twitter handle reflects disturbing insecurities of prevalent fascist culture," he said.
Earlier this morning, the official account of Rahul Gandhi tweeted this:
"To every one of you haters out there. I love all of you. You're beautiful. Your hatred just doesn't let you see it yet"
But the nightmare for Rahul Gandhi and the Indian National Congress (INC) is far from over. This morning, INC's official Twitter account was compromised and the hacker started tweeting out some messages laden with expletives and profanities.
The tweets, however, have now been deleted. The Congress is likely to raise both incidents of hacking for discussion in both houses of Parliament.
