Yesterday, Vikas Agarwal decided to jump off a ledge, 83 metres above the dark river waters in Rishikesh. Thankfully, it ended well for him because he was attached to a bungee cord. The General Manager of OnePlus India performed the stunt to dramatically announce that the OnePlus 3T smartphone will be launched in India on 2 December.

OnePlus 3T is an upgraded version of the very successful flagship smartphone OnePlus 3, and it is being released just 5 months after the OnePlus 3 launch. Such a quick upgrade decision has left some OnePlus 3 buyers miffed although the Chinese smartphone maker has assured them that this is a one-off situation that won't be repeated every year.

One Plus 3T comes with an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, replacing the Snapdragon 820 in the earlier version. The front camera is also much improved, with a 16 MP image resolution and a Samsung sensor. The rear camera stays the same but the manufacturer has made the protection around the lens better and implemented software modifications that will help in low light photography.

A long lasting battery and Dash Charging were among OnePlus 3's most loved features, and the newer version has an even bigger 3400 mAh battery. The phone comes with a 6 GB RAM and 5.5-inch full HD display.

OnePlus sells two variants of the One Plus 3T, with different internal memories The 64 GB variant costs $439 in the US and the 128 GB version, $479. OnePlus 3 has been selling for ₹27,999 in India.
