Following Donald Trump's surprise win to clinch the US presidency defeating Hillary Clinton, many in the media have gone into introspection mode to see how they could have it so wrong.

After all, Trump's presidential debate disasters and countless polls had predicted a sure fire Clinton win. As the final votes tally tipped the scale in favour of Trump, many newspapers around the world were in a state of disbelief and shock.
