Sad Trump Cake Inspires The Best Memes Of The Election

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has exuded confidence in the weeks leading up to the election, but with his poll numbers looking dismal, this cake version of Trump seems to have a more accurate outlook.

The expressive, hyperrealistic Trump cake above was seen being taken into Trump Tower on Tuesday and was posted to Twitter by ABC News National Assignment Editor Jason Volack.

Apparently the creepy confection is Trumpā€™s official election party cake, but its expression doesnā€™t exactly scream celebration.

The cake cost $7,000, according to ABC News reporter Katherine Faulders. And while it appears that the elaborate Trump bust had yet to be enjoyed, the internet has already immortalized it in memes, because this is 2016.
