Ram Gopal Varma Just Announced A Bizarre Movie About World War 3 With A Budget Of Rs. 340 Crores

We're NOT kidding.
CMA

Ram Gopal Varma, who's getting increasingly prolific but not proportionately better, has announced yet another project.

The once-revered director of films like Satya, Rangeela, and Company, is now apparently directing a World War 3 drama. And this news didn't break as a news story (as is the norm) but in the form of full-page advertisements in the Times of India's entertainment supplement, Bombay Times.

It's bizarre mostly because the last 10 films directed by Varma have tanked at the box office.

The development is also strange because it comes at a time when Varma is already shooting a film, Sarkar 3.

Usually, one hears about a filmmaker's next film long after the current has released.

But, no, not with Ramu.

While one must not deride an ambitious film like this, you cannot take something that looks like this, too seriously.

GMA

Just read about the 'unprecedented' scale of the film.

Before the bombs, the details will blow you away.

By the way, it's titled, Nuclear. Because bomb.

1. PLOT.

2. ACTORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD, GLOBAL AF.

3. IF YOU THOUGHT IT WAS JUST THIS ONE, THERE ARE 15 MORE COMING. FIFTEEN.

Once you go to CMA Global website, a production house that seemingly sprung out of nowhere, it lists out reasons behind funding the 'most expensive film ever made in India.'

It says: "Our entire group of companies felt that the subject matter of NUCLEAR is truly international and would be of immense interest to a world wide audience and we unanimously decided to produce this film no matter what it costs. The initial estimates of the costs being worked out would make this the most expensive film ever made in India and is right now pegged at around 340 cr without the fee of the international talent."

Okay then.

Ramu has some thoughts too.

"We wake up every morning to hear dreadful news of a terror attack happening somewhere or the other. Incidents like planes bringing down towers, a truck plowing through people on the roads, slaughtering hundreds of innocent people in Paris,Mumbai etc are terrifying enough, but the real and truly unthinkable terror is, what if someone gets their hands on a nuclear bomb?

He ends it with:

"It's obvious that an actual nuclear explosion in a big city like Mumbai can easily trigger WORLD WAR III and thus end the WORLD."
