Aishwarya Rai, who's been earning a lot of praise (and a few brickbats) for her portrayal of Saba the poetess in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, recently did a photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar India, where she looks like a beautiful couplet herself.
Shot by veteran photographer Farrokh Chothiya, styled by Manish Malhotra, Aishwarya's make-up for the shoot has been done by the formidable Mickey Contractor. In Bollyspeak, the trio is considered a potent combination.
The actress appears on the cover of the magazine's November issue, which was followed by an interview.
When asked what she thought of people potentially dissing her Ae Dil character as a cougar, Aishwarya said, "If you see the response online to trailers (for the movie wasn't released at the time of writing), you'll see most responded to my character Saba, with excitement, love, and positivity. She's strong and radiates individuality...so the response has been gratifying."
