Terrorists Barge Into Civilian's House, Kill One Woman In Pulwama

The BSF said that they had foiled two infiltration bids on Thursday and that Pakistani forces were pushing militants across the LoC.

PULWAMA -- A woman was shot dead by terrorists at Nyayina in Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

Shockingly, the terrorists barged into the woman's house and shot her down, following which the injured woman was immediately rushed to the local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.

According to PTI, the woman was identified as one Beeba, wife of Mohammad Yousuf Matto, a resident of Naina Batwina area of Pulwama.

Earlier on Friday, terrorists also hurled a grenade at a police patrolling party here, however, no casualties have been reported.

A group of terrorists on Friday attacked policemen guarding a minority picket in Pulwama and escaped after snatching two AK-47 rifles.

On Thursday night, security forces recovered arms and ammunition from Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists in Baramulla (J&K).

A Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist was also arrested from the state's Rampura village during search operations, Sridhar Patil, a senior government official from the district told ANI.

"We recovered one pistol along with ammunitions and some war-like stores from him," Sridhar Patil, superintendent of police, Kulgam said.

The BSF said they had foiled two infiltration bids on Thursday and that Pakistani forces were pushing militants over onto their side of the border.
