The Kollywood film industry is abuzz with the speculation that Hollywood giant Al Pacino may star in director Karthik Subbaraj's upcoming film.

Multiple outlets reported that the film's producers are in talks with the Scarface actor for a project that will be largely shot in the US. Dhanush has already been signed for a pivotal part.

Quoting an anonymous source, an article on The News Minute said, "The makers have initiated talks. However, nothing can be confirmed yet as a call has to be taken by Pacino himself on whether he should be a part of the project or not. The film will be predominantly shot in the US, and if Pacino comes on board, most of his portion will be shot there itself. They had even considered Morgan Freeman initially."

Subbaraj is a Tamil filmmaker best-known for films like Jigarthanda, Bench Talkies, and Pizza.

The film marks the first collaboration between Dhanush and Subbaraj and is expected to go on floors later this year.
