IT Professional Arrested For Allegedly Hoarding 115 Kilos Of Firecrackers

The accused was nabbed by the Delhi Police and the firecrackers seized.

An IT professional has been arrested for allegedly storing 115 kg firecrackers in his house in Karampura area of west Delhi, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from Moti Nagar police station carried out search at the house of Pulkit Sharma and recovered huge quantity of firecrackers yesterday.

The accused could not produce any licence or any other document for storing such a huge quantity of firecrackers, said Vijay Kumar, DCP (west).

The accused was nabbed and the firecrackers were seized.

A case under relevant sections of IPC and the Explosive Act has been registered.

Police said Sharma worked with an IT company in Noida and had stored crackers to earn quick money ahead of Diwali.
