When people say they suffer with anxiety it can be difficult for other people to truly understand what that means.

The NHS defines anxiety as a feeling of unease, worry or fear, which for most people means a mild anxiety experienced sporadically, before things like an exam or job interview.

But for other people it can be a chronic and debilitating condition that affects their everyday life.

According to the Mental Health Foundation, generalised anxiety disorder affected 8.2 million people in the United Kingdom in 2013 (last available data).
