At Least 3 Killed, 13 Injured In Stampede At Mayawati's Rally

BSP leader claimed that an elderly woman was killed due to 'humidity' in the crowded space.

One woman was reportedly killed during a stampede causing a ruckus at Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati's rally in Lucknow.

According to ANI, over 13 persons were also injured in the rally.

In a recent development, Ramachal Rajbhar, BSP UP state president has claimed that the death of the woman in the rally was caused by 'humidity' and not due to the ruckus.

Now, updated reports suggest that two more people have been killed in the incident, taking the death toll to three.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav announced a compensation of ₹2 lakh to the family members of the people who have been killed in the incident.

All the injured were immediately rushed to the Lokbandhu hospital nearby.

According to reports, people including children are missing following the ruckus at the rally.
