As the atmosphere between India and Pakistan remained tense days after a surgical strike by New Delhi to eliminate terror launch pads in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, peaceniks from both sides of the border have started an initiative to calm frayed nerves and promote bonhomie.

The 'Profile For Peace' movement gained steam after Mumbai-based writer, Ram Subramanian, posted a picture on Facebook with the message:

Dear Leaders,

Do not let the actions of a few violent men write the future of many people, like me, who want peace. #KillTerroristsNotTalks #ProfileForPeace

"I hope both nations unite to eradicate the menace of terror and work towards peace. Way too many soldiers and civilians have died. Way too much hate talk. People of both nations should unite against the loudness of violence induced hatred and fear. Enough is Enough! Make a similar profile picture if you too believe peace is the way forward," he wrote.

And soon people from both India and Pakistan joined him.

Subramanian's Facebook page, Voice Of Ram, put up a series of photos of Indians and Pakistanis spreading the message of peace. Here's what they have to say:
