In an incredibly heartwarming gesture, a businessman from Gujarat plans to cover the costs of educating the children of all 18 soldiers who were killed by terrorists in Uri, earlier this week.
Mahesh Savani, the businessman, told The Indian Express that he was moved when seeing the daughter of one of the slain soldiers crying on television.
"I saw a girl of our Indian soldier crying on the television saying that her father had told here to study hard and become successful. At that moment, I decided to sponsor the children of the martyrs killed in Uri attack," he told the newspaper.
On September 18, four heavily armed terrorists attacked an Indian army base, in what is regarded as the deadliest attack on security forces in the past two decades.
