College Student Slips Into Lake While Taking A Selfie, 5 Jump In To Save Her And Drown

In a tragic incident, five engineering students drowned in a lake in Telangana's Warangal district on Saturday when a girl slipped while trying to take a selfie and five others jumped in after her in an attempt to save her.

According to an NDTV report, the students, who belonged to Vaagdevi Engineering College, had gone to Dharmasagar lake on Saturday, and it was there that one of the girls, Ramya Pratyusha, accidentally fell in the lake while trying to take a selfie.

In an attempt to save Pratyusha, other students, including two girls, jumped one after the other into the lake.

While Pratyusha managed to save her life, all five others drowned.

Police identified the victims as Sravya Reddy, Polineni Vinuthna, Karne Shivasai, P. Shivasaikrishna, and Srindhi.
