PM Modi's Birthday: Record-Breaking Cake, Mother's Blessings And Wishes From World Leaders

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turns 66 this year, is celebrating his birthday in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, with his mother Hiraben.

PM Modi reached the residence of his brother Pankaj Modi in Raysan area of state capital, where his 97-year-old mother is staying and spent around 25 minutes with her.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior BJP leader LK Advani, among others wished him on his birthday, along with hundreds of important personalities from across the globe.

A Surat-based bakery has also baked a special birthday cake for the PM, and is aiming for Guinness World Record as the tallest pyramid cake ever made.

According to a report in The Times of India, the bakery has collaborated with an NGO for this feat.

Padma Shri award-winning sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik also created a special sculpture dedicated to PM Modi.

PM Modi is slated to travel to Limkheda of Dahod to inaugurate many schemes for development of this tribal district later in the day.

In the afternoon PM Modi will be in Navsari, where he is scheduled to take part in a function where aid would be distributed to the differently-abled persons.
