This Coke Studio Song Is Bringing India, Pakistan's Music Lovers Together

It's been exactly a week since Coke Studio's second episode went on air and Afreen Afreen, sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Momina Mustehsan was uploaded on YouTube. It has gone viral since then.

Every second Facebook post talks about how the song is on constant loop, and how beautiful the rendition is.

The video has garnered 4,409,252 views at the time of writing this. And, rightfully so.

The song encompasses exactly what Coke Studio is all about.

The recreation of a legendary song that was originally sung by Nusrat fateh Ali Khan, and probably not attempted by too many was completely changed. And yet, fans who still can't get enough of the original 'Afreen Afreen', can't stop listening to this one.

While the original Afreen Afreen showcases the lover talking to himself; the Coke Studio version turned the song into a praise of beauty for its listeners.

But that's not all.

If you scroll down the comments section, you will realise how the viral song is also bringing music lovers from India and Pakistan together.

There's no doubt that Coke Studio Pakistan has always been the talking point in India. But, the comment section just reinstates our faith that music really knows no bounds.
