The title card of Netflix's 'Stranger Things'.

If you've clicked on this article, chances are that you've already watched some or all of the first season of Netflix's excellent new show Stranger Things and are completely hooked.

Created by the Duffer Brothers, this supernatural horror-thriller is set during the early '80s in a small town in Indiana, United States. With the help of an excellent cast — headlined by Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and a scene-stealing Millie Bobby Brown as 'Eleven', a mysterious little girl with telekinetic powers — Stranger Things spins an arresting yarn with obvious nods to Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters Of The Third Kind (1977) and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) as well as Stephen King's novels, among many others.

Aside from this, viewers have also praised the hypnotic, arpeggiator-laden synth score and its title sequence. In particular, there has been a lot of talk about the typeface used for the show title — called ITC Benguiat — which was used extensively in the '90s, especially for sci-fi and horror books and movies (think: the credit sequences of the Star Trek movies, Twin Peaks etc.)

Many Indian viewers, however, may have a different reference for the font, as this Twitter user pointed out on Wednesday morning.

Damn. No wonder we always felt hungry while watching it.

(For those who're confused, Shiv Sagar is one of the best-known fast-food restaurant chains in India and has been operating since 1981.)

UPDATE: It has been brought to our attention that the font on the Shiv Sagar menu isn't ITC Benguiat, although it has many similarities with it. Point noted. Either way, the idea was simply to point out that it looks a lot like it and to share Vijesh Rajan's joke with a wider audience. This is not a serious article, for heaven's sake.

The first season of Stranger Things can be watched on Netflix India. Check out the trailer below.
