On August 15, the Rastriya Muslim Manch (RMM), the Muslim outfit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will be hoisting the national flag in 100 madrasas across the country, reports Times Of India.

Indresh Kumar, the president of the Muslim outfit, will be addressing a programme in a madrassa in Nagpur.

This, probably, will be the first time a RSS leader will be attending a function within a madrassa.

The RSS also plans to launch an anti-terror cell on Independence Day.

According to the report, this will involve educated Muslims who will lecture on preventing the youth from joining radical forces like IS.

The flag hoisting event will reportedly be followed by lectures on nationalism and cow protection.

Salawat Khan, national secretary of RMM, told ToI, "Cow has been a religious symbol for Hindu community. It is treated as mother. It becomes a humble duty of devout Muslims to ensure that dignity of this religious figure should be maintained at any cost."

The event had to be shifted from the original venue after the management refused to let an RSS member into the institution. They were finally accepted by a madrassa which is run by the Bohra community.

The group plans to hoist the flag, get people to sing Vande Mataram and shout Bharat Mata ki Jai.
