Xiaomi is on the way to making another Redmi phone a success by selling more than 90,000 units of Redmi 3S Prime in their first sale. The first sale was held on Flipkart and on 9th August.

The next sale will take place on 17 August where both the variants Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S prime will be on sale. The sale will again take place on Flipkart and exclusively.

Redmi 3S was launched on 3 August in India. Redmi 3S is priced at ₹6999 while the prime version is priced at ₹8999.

Xiaomi Redmi 3S is the company's aim to capture the budget market. The phone has a great design, specs, and software to claim the throne of the sub-₹10000 smartphone market.

The phone's most noticeable feature is probably its massive 4100 mAh battery. It is also probably one of the few phones in this category which have the premium metal body with a fingerprint sensor in the prime version.

Both the variants of the phone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. They are the first duo in the Indian market to have this processor.

Redmi 3S has a 2 GB RAM and Redmi 3S prime has a 3 GB RAM. Both the phone also has an IR blaster which makes them a remote control of your appliances. The internal storage is 16 GB and 32 GB respectively.

For Xiaomi Redmi series has given them a great boost globally and in India as well. Recently, the company had announced that since the first Redmi phone was launched, it has sold 110 million units worldwide.

In India, during the launch of Mi Max company's global VP Hugo Barra had mentioned that Redmi Note 3 has been the most successful phone in the country for Xiaomi. It had sold more than 6 lakh units in the first two months of launch.

Today in an event in Mumbai, company's India head Manu Jain said that Xiaomi has now sold more than 1 million units of Redmi Note 3 in the country. He also mentioned that the company is now selling more than a million phones every quarter.

Xiaomi is trying to bridge the gap between the global and the Indian launch of the phones. The company claims that all their phones launching in India this year have been launched within two months of the global launch.

The company has also gained the number 1 spot in the wearable market in India thanks to the ₹999 Mi band.
