Rakhi Sawant Turned Up At An Event In US In A Black Leather Dress With Narendra Modi's Face Plastered All Over It

The biggest Modi bhakt ever?

What a time to be alive. Actress Rakhi Sawant, who once wanted to marry Narendra Modi, just turned up for an Independence Day function in Wheaton in a black leather dress plastered with the Prime Minister's face.

Here's a video of her professing her love for Modiji.

But Sawant, a self-confessed motor-mouth who starred in a string of reality shows a few years ago, evidently thought that her love for the PM needs to be carried across to foreign shores.

When she was invited to be the chief guest at an event organised by the Federation of Indian Americans to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Indian Independence at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, she decided to go full fangirl with her little black dress.

The dress, a combination of net sleeves and a leather bodice, had Modi's face on it, at, um strategic places.

The event was held on August 7, but social media only picked it up when the actress posted it on her Instagram account.

Naturally the derision was swift.

Sawant, who has courted countless controversies in her career as a TV actress and model, probably won't lose much sleep over the backlash that will certainly follow her bold dress choice.
