Taking inspiration from the recent viral photographs of a Pakistani newlywed spending her honeymoon alone, an Indian photographer decided to try out the same technique to help his wife get a Tatkaal passport in time for their honeymoon in Italy.
On August 7, Delhi-based photographer Faizan Patel left for his honeymoon, alone. His wife Sana couldn't accompany him as she had misplaced her passport just two days before they were to board the flight.
Patel began tweeting solo photographs of himself in Italy, tagging External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj.

"Sana convinced me to go ahead with the trip as I had commitments to a few brands for work later," Patel said. "So I reached here only to miss her even more. I carried a few of Sana's photos to be clicked next to me on her empty seats."
Swaraj replied to Patel's tweet in four hours, asking Sana to contact her. Swaraj also promised to send the duplicate passport in a day's time.
Sure enough, the passport arrived at Sana's house this morning. However, Patel says that she can only get a visa appointment for 16 August, which is too late as the trip would have ended by then. "The trip was entirely planned by her," Patel said. "I wish to see her next to me soon."
However, Patel was also trolled by several Twitter users who accused him of criticising Swaraj in the past.
