Its true! Baba Ramdev can do anything. Yoga, politics, business, entertainment -- with the Baba having shown his skills in all these realms, could sports have been far behind.

"You will be nearer to Heaven through football than through the study of the Gita," Swami Vevekananda famously proclaimed. And so it was that at a recent football match at New Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Baba Ramdev convincingly showed that he was as good as any, when it came to kicking the ball around.

The Baba was at a charitable match organised to create awareness about two of Prime Minister Narender Modi's flagship initiatives, the 'Clean India' campaign and a female empowerment programme. The friendly match was played between Bollywood actors and Indian parliamentarians on 24 July.

Abhishek Bachchan's team, the All Stars Football Club included Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Dino Morea and Sidharth Malhotra among others, while Babul Supriyo, the Minister of State for Heavy Industries, led the parliamentarians which included former Indian football captain and Trinamool Congress MP, Prasun Banerjee.

Looking characteristically striking in his orange robes and matching-coloured shoes, Ramdev showed-off some really cool kicks (like literally) and made the youngsters run around on the field a bit.
