Radhika Apte has already had a cracker of a 2016, what with a stellar turn in Pawan Kirpalani's psychological horror-thriller Phobia and a Best Actress award at the prestigious 2016 Tribeca Film Festival held in New York earlier this year.
But this Friday, the actress — who has acted in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu, and Tamil films of varying budgets — will have her biggest release ever. Kabali, starring Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, releases in a couple of days, starring Apte as its leading lady.
You'd think that Apte, aside from being over the moon, would be all over the place with promotions. But the actress, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, revealed that she probably won't even make it to Chennai for the film's premiere with the cast and crew.
The reason? She is currently shooting for the action-horror film Ghoul, being directed by Patrick Graham, in Mumbai. "I really want to be in Chennai for the premiere, see the Rajini craze for myself, but the shooting is keeping me in Mumbai," she told MM, dejectedly.
Daaayuuuuummmmnnn.
