The launch taking place in New York will have only one variant. It will have a dual edged display like Galaxy S7 edge. The screen size is expected to be the size of 5.7-inch. Apart from that, this will be the first phone from Samsung which will feature a USB-C port.
Since a couple of years, fingerprint scanner has been the norm of unlocking and security. Samsung wants to take security to another level by including an Iris scanner. Till now phones such as Windows Lumia 950 and ZTE Grand S3 have had eye-scanners but they turned out to be slow. A big company like Samsung is expected to present a fast and secure system.
Other rumored specs are Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 which is going to debut with this phone. But newly launched Snapdragon 821 can also be a possible contender. The phone is likely to sport 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It is likely to sport a 4200 mAh battery.
Samsung is flying high on the back of their one of their best quarter ever. They are also expecting that this Q2 results would be their best in two years. For the first time since releasing Galaxy S4, they had some green in profits sections.
