Here's Why Vikram Bhatt Started A Petition To Get Kamaal R Khan Off Twitter

Here's Why Vikram Bhatt Started A Petition To Get Kamaal R Khan Off Twitter

From daring politicians to hire Bollywood actress Sunny Leone for a strip dance, to calling Madhuri Dixit-Nene 'buddhi', notorious TV and film personality, Kamal R Khan, has become infamous for ignoring the boundaries of decorum and language on social media.

Khan, who is known for his loud mouth and his 'film reviews' on YouTube, is now in serious trouble as filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has filed a defamation case against him.

The drama began when Khan accused Bhatt of trying to "supply Meera Chopra to a well-known producer," after which Bhatt sent a criminal defamation notice to Khan for circulating false and derogatory stories about him.

"It all started with a Twitter duel between Kamaal R Khan and me after the release of my film Love Games. Then, came his review of the film 1920 London. Though I did not produce the film, direct it, write the dialogue or the screenplay, he decided to do a review of me instead of the film. He made absurd insinuations — called me a fraud, a pimp and other unsavoury names. I couldn't care less — when you have made a business of ranting, then ranting is what you got to do (sic)," Bhatt wrote on his official Facebook page in a post titled, 'KAMAAL R KHAN AND MY IMMINENT MUD WRESTLE'.

Bhatt also listed other insulting tweets posted by Khan about Bollywood actresses such as Huma Qureshi, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Sunny Leone, Bipasha Basu and Nargis Fakhri.

Bhatt said that when he saw his daughter crying over Khan's insinuations, made on YouTube videos, he decided to take action and send him a legal notice.

Khan responded by lashing out on Twitter:

Wahiyat @TheVikramBhatt has sent me one more notice today. Vikram, m not a Lukkha Like u who has Faltu time 2play notice notice. So Fuck off

Vikram Bhatt has become manager of all the heroines in Bollywood so he will fight for all of them. Vikram this job is just perfect for you.

Bhatt also said on his Facebook post that if one doesn't stand up and confront false rumours, the silence leads to the impression that they are true.

Comparing Khan's comments to the controversy around Salman Khan's infamous 'rape' comment, Bhatt wrote:

"We must fight because all those who found Salman Khan’s one comment on rape distasteful have been quiet about this man [KRK] for years. I don't understand why..."

On Tuesday, Bhatt also initiated an online petition on Change.org addressed to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to take Khan's account down. The petition had gathered 1,302 votes as of when this story was filed.
